Improved Perfect Defense

Improved Perfect Defense fine-tunes the timing mechanics of Stellar Blade to create a more responsive and reactive combat experience.

By slightly increasing the Perfect Parry and Dodge windows and reducing the guard cooldown duration, this mod maintains the core challenge of the game while making precise defensive maneuvers feel more natural and satisfying.

Key Features:

• Perfect Parry / Dodge Windows:

  • Default: 9 frames (0.15s) → Mod: 12 frames (0.2s)

  • Extended Version: 15 frames (0.25s)

• Guard Cooldown Reduction:

  • From 24 frames (0.4s) → 21 frames (0.35s)

• Encourages reactive play without trivializing timing mechanics

• Optional combined version available with Improved Rush Cooldown

• Compatible with Hardcore Mode (Lite) and other skill/gear-based enhancements

Installation Instructions:

1. Download your preferred version of the mod from the files tab
   (Standard or Extended – both are all-in-one installs)

2. Navigate to:
   .../StellarBlade/SB/Content/Paks/
   and create a folder named ~mods if it doesn’t exist

3. Place the .pak, .utoc, and .ucas files into the ~mods folder

4. Launch the game – the changes will be applied automatically

5. To uninstall, simply delete those files from the ~mods folder

Compatibility Notes:

• Works with most other mods except those editing SkillTable.uasset

• For use with Improved Rush Cooldown, install the combined version only

• Fully compatible with skill and gear buffs like Reflex-Type Exospines and Focus/Reflex Boost
